Chief Executive Officer Position
“Wimmera Catchment Management Authority is one of 10 CMAs in Victoria established under the Catchment and Land Protection Act. CMAs are governed by a board whose members are appointed by the State Government’s Minister for Water in consultation with the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change. The Chief Executive Officer in a CMA is appointed by the board to run the affairs of the entity. As part of government policy to facilitate good governance, the contract for the CEO position is limited to a maximum of 5 years with the option to extend for a further five years. All contracts are required to be opened to a competitive process after ten years. To facilitate this process, the Wimmera CMA’s chief executive officer position is currently being advertised via Davidson, a recruitment agency for chief executive and boards. Candidates from both within and external to the CMA are encouraged able to apply for the position.” Wimmera CMA Board Chair, Peter Hilbig
