National Landcare Week 2017

Oct 02, 2017

Landcare Week 4 - 10 September 2017

Celebrate Landcare Awards

And what a great time to recognise and celebrate the Landcarers who represented the Wimmera region at last week’s Victorian State Landcare Awards ceremony at Government House.

After winning their regional award categories earlier in the year, Kaniva District Landcare Group was nominated for the State Landcare Group award, Jamie Saines was nominated for the Individual Landcarer Award and Jessica Kuhne was nominated for the Young Landcarer award.

Other local nominees in this year’s state awards included;

  • the West Wimmera Women on Farms Gathering 2017
  • the Horsham Urban Landcare Group

All very deserving award nominees!

Celebrate with your local Landcare Group

Landcare Week is here and Landcare groups across Australia are planning this special week to celebrate the great work they do caring for their local environment.

If you’re not already involved in a local Landcare group, find a group in your local area and see if they have a Landcare Week event you can be part of.
