Dr Fiona Fraser (Australian Government) - Threatened Species Commissioner (Seminar Opening Video). Prof. Brendan Wintle (The University Melbourne) - Growing policy momentum to tackle the global biodiversity crisis. Russell Larke, Marie Velthoven (Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria) - Back from the brink: Grevillea gariwerdensis and the collaboration efforts to conserve an endemic species not seen for 25 years. 10:50am Morning Tea - 30 mins. Stuart Harradine (Barengi Gadjin Land Council) - Wotjobaluk Connections to Wilkerr (Dingo). Jonathan Starks (Hindmarsh Landcare) - The Wimmera’s other threatened birds. Damien Cook (Wetland Revival Trust) - Transforming Wirra-lo. 1:00pm Lunch - 1 hour. Elaine Bayes (Wetland Revival Trust) - Searches for the elusive Eltham Copper Butterfly find gold, well copper in the Wimmera. Elizabeth Newton (Trust for Nature) - Reptiles of the Big Desert. Paul Foreman (Blue Devil Consulting) - The role of Aboriginal burning in the biogeography of the temperate grasslands of south-eastern Australia including the Wimmera. 3:30pm Afternoon Tea - 30 mins.
