Place gives us common ground
Strong catchments are built through strong partnerships.
Here in Victoria, we’re proud to work alongside Traditional Owners, landholders, community members and future environmental stewards to care for the places we all call home. This is our unique way of working.
In 2026, CMAs across Victoria connected with more than 74,000 partners through 621 partnerships turning local knowledge into local action.
Our latest snapshot shares our impact over the past year to care for the places you call home.

Place matters. So do healthy waterways

And they don’t happen by chance. There’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes at your local CMA to protect the rivers, creeks and waterways we love, rely on and enjoy.
Last year Victoria’s CMAs provided more than 10,500 approvals and advice services and assessed over 4,000 waterway sites.
At over 50 per day, this all adds up to one united effort to help keep catchments healthy, resilient and safe.
Place is our source of strength
Supporting healthy, productive farms is good for us all.
In 2026, we worked to help improve over 10,500 hectares of agricultural management.
This means 637 hectares of improved grazing regimes and better outcomes for the people and places where we live.

We’re about healthier landscapes in the places you live.
Across the state, CMAs turn knowledge, connection, and balance into on ground action. to improve landscapes.
In 2026 we:
- Protected over 774, 700 hectares of landscapes
- Controlled weeds over almost 60,000 hectares
- Planted over 2,500 hectares.
This work is an investment in all our futures.
Ongoing efforts to protect catchments keep environments healthy and save money for Victoria places where we live.
