Mt William Creek Flows May June

May 10, 2022, 00:00 AM
Flows are commencing from Lake Lonsdale through to mid-June to refill refuge pools in the Mt William Creek through to the Wimmera River. Refuge pool water levels have declined given the dry conditions since flows were released in February.

Mt William Creek environmental flow

Feb 7, 2022, 00:00 AM
Low flows from Lake Lonsdale are being delivered to Mount William Creek through-out February. These flows will refill refuge pools along Mount William Creek through to Dadswells Bridge that have been dropping steadily since November.

Burnt Creek and MacKenzie River environmental flow

Feb 2, 2022, 00:00 AM
Burnt Creek and MacKenzie River are currently flowing and have been going since early January and will continue until mid Feb. These flows aim to refill refuge pools along both waterways for native fish and platypus in particular.

Wimmera River environmental flow

Feb 1, 2022, 00:00 AM
Flows have been released into the Wimmera River upstream of Horsham from Taylors Lake since early January to help boost the water levels, connectivity and water quality in the lower Wimmera River. These will continue until the middle of Feb. These flows have also been lucky enough to be able to provide the additional benefits of assisting with the water levels for the recent water-skiing demonstration event in Horsham and the upcoming Barefoot Waterski Tournament in Dimboola.

Wimmera River Flow Changes

Feb 23, 2021, 00:00 AM
Releases from Taylors Lake have ceased due to improvements in water quality along sections of the Wimmera River. Water quality parameters continue to monitored, if deterioration occurs releases will recommence. Releases for the Burnt Creek and MacKenzie River continue through to early March.
